Yesterday's wedding was beyond gorgeous with its rustic elegance in every detail. But the reason it was this photographer's dream to be a part of, was to be the one to capture a second daughter's wedding that held such meaning to the family.  And at the end of the day, to be able to stand on the dance floor with the bride and her mother, watching our Reception Screening, and crying together at how much Rachel looked like her big sister Abby on her wedding day that we photographed 4 years ago.  Abby was remembered in so many ways yesterday with little touches, but her presence was felt largely in the hearts of Rachel's friends, family, and mine =)

Yesterday's wedding with Michael & Anne was not only held in 2 gorgeous venues (Heinz Chapel and The Pittsburgh Athletic Association), but it also was filled with love, laughter, and family traditions!  From standing on their chairs to kiss when guests cheered them at the Reception, every woman coming to kiss Michael on the cheek when Anne left the room during dinner, cutting TWO cakes (American & Danish), and cutting Michael's socks at the end of the night, so that Anne can prove herself a worthy wife by sewing them back together ;) If the traditions weren't enough to make your wedding beyond special, the constant love in your eyes for each other was!

FAMILIES - The Walkers

After shooting Abigail & Eleanor's baby photos and then watching them both grow up over the years with photo shoot after photo shoot, it sadly came to an end when The Walkers moved down South =(  Imagine both Shea AND my's delight, when she said they had a trip back up to PA planned over Mother's Day weekend. For what could possibly be our last photo shoot together, it was filled with play & wonder between these two sisters...perfect! =)

Liliana's Christmas Session

After capturing so many adorable Christmas portraits of other families during this year's Mini Sessions, I COULD NOT WAIT to get Liliana into her special Holiday outfits and in front of Sam & I's cameras =)  It proved to be a LONG day, more like 3 Mini Sessions put together, haha, but I am beyond excited at how the photos turned out!  I can't stop looking through them and seeing how happy our beautiful baby girl looks...makes me understand what our clients are saying when they share such kind words about their session! =)
