Traditions and Family were at the heart of our last wedding of the 2019 Season! Jessica got ready in her family’s home with all the memories of growing up and what this day meant. Onto her home church with gorgeous architectural detailing and a private prayer for the “almost newlyweds”. After the ceremony we were able to make a quick detour to the Nursing Home, so Jessica’s grandma could see her in her wedding dress! Followed by photos at the Railroad Station owned by Jessica’s family, where past members of the family had their photo taken in the very same train engine on their wedding day! With so much meaning and emotion to the day, it was time to let loose and have fun at the Reception and boy did they, just check out the photos below to see for yourself, haha!!

Read MoreLaid back and fun-loving, that sounds about right for these two and their day! We love backyard weddings like these with good feeling country music, homestyle cooking, drink in hand, and laughs all around!! And can we just say, what a GORGEOUS Summer day, perfect to match how gorgeous these two looked!
Read MoreRehearsal Coverage is a fun extra that we offer our couples and today’s blog post is a great representation of all that includes! We personally love photographing Rehearsals, because it gives us a chance to get to know not only our couples better (especially if they have not had an engagement session with us) but also their family & bridal party! It allows all of them to get to know our style and how we like to keep things organized & personalized, including calling your party by name =) We get to see the ins and outs of the ceremony location during Rehearsal, but more importantly these evenings capture the love & laughter of the closest people in your life!
Read MoreBeing asked to photograph this wedding was a little…no a lot…more special than when a bride & groom normally choose Sam & I to capture their big day…We have actually known Taylor since back in school when Sam & I were his Youth Group Leaders! His family is a part of our church family and we felt like we got the best seat in the house to celebrate together! To know that we were able to turn their day into treasured memories was an honor!
Read MoreI knew, from our time spent together during last year’s engagement shoot, that Brandon & Kristin were a beyond sweet, beyond fun couple. But yesterday’s wedding, showed where that love & kindness comes from! With the tearful walk down the aisle, special dance with grandma, and all 5 members of the family coming out for the father daughter dance, love exudes from their families. What a blessing to take into the start of their own marriage!
Read MoreWhat a way to kick off our 2019 Wedding Season! Jeff & Jennifer's weekend on the Lake was, in a word, stunning! The romantic elegance and attention to detail stood out, but more importantly the warmth & laughter from these 2 shines through every photo!
Sam & I loved being able to capture that emotion and love for Jeff & Jenn…and they certainly let us feel the love at the end of the night, when we all shared an emotional goodbye after watching our Reception Screening that brought laughter & tears all around! (see for yourself on the last photo below!!)
Read MoreWhat a way to end our 2018 Wedding Season! Fabulous dress, flawless styling & decor, and fantastic couple =) The rain held off before the ceremony, allowing us to capture every moment of love & laughter with their friends & family! And even when it’s raining, we always make it work ;) After the ceremony, we captured stunning photos under a local stone bridge (I’m pretty sure 1 of my favorite photos of the entire Season is in that bunch!!) Craig & April were a true joy, SO MUCH laughing had during our meetings and the entire wedding day. Pairing that with all things fabulous from their day and I’d say we closed this Wedding Season pretty perfectly =)
Read MoreA sprinkle of rain on your wedding day is supposed to bring good luck...well, how about a day-long downpour?! Sam & I don't think we noticed it stopped raining a single time yesterday for Josh & Cassie's wedding. And while that changed the ceremony location from outdoors to in, we made sure we did what we could to capture the gorgeous greenery of their venue regardless! You wouldn't even know it was raining in the courtyard shots below, take a look!
Read MoreWe had a rain plan set in place at the church and matching umbrellas to their wedding colors, but Mike & Ashton were blessed that we never had to use it! It was sunshine & blue skies yesterday =D Pair that with the love & laughter of their close-knit friends and this day was one Mike & Ashton will not soon forget!

Read MoreThe sprinkling of rain held off until just after the outdoor ceremony at yesterday's wedding. Which was perfect, because there was a LOT OF FUN to be had inside at the Reception (just look at the dance floor pictures and you'll see what I mean!) But Tim & Meghan's wedding also had heart (just look at the Toast photos and you'll agree!!) A day Tim & Meghan will never forget =)
Read MoreThis storybook wedding with a down-home country feel had it all...even a horse-drawn wagon ride! My favorite FUN moment of the night: when the father of the groom decided to let loose and have his sleeves cut off, in true country fashion, by the father of the bride!! My favorite SWEET moment of the day: when the mother of the groom gifted her new daughter-in-law a set of jewelry with the groom's birthstone that she bought when he was born =)
