WEDDING - Jim + Nicole, Phipps Conservatory + Pittsburgh Zoo

What a way to kick off our 2024 wedding season! Jim & Nicole held their ceremony in the gorgeous botanical gardens of Phipp’s Conservatory, followed by a reception at the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium. The flower petal toss when they walked up the aisle as husband & wife, allowing their guests to have an up close encounter with a fennec fox during cocktail hour, and cutting the cake in front of a 2-story aquarium with a shark swimming overhead…what an unforgettable way to start a marriage, congrats to Jim & Nicole!

WEDDING - Mike + Gina - Corbinview Farms, Reynoldsville PA

90-100% chance of rain ALL. DAY. LONG on your wedding day…what bride wouldn’t have a meltdown?! We stayed in contact throughout the week with Gina to provide ideas and encouragement on how we would make sure we get outdoor photos for her big day! Sam & I checked all the locations & possibilities, watched the radar like a hawk, and found the perfect pockets of time to steal our couple outside for some quick rain-free or light-drizzle portraits!! We just HAD to get those Fall leaves in some photos ;)

WEDDING - Josh + Sierra - Copper Cork Event Center, Clearfield PA

After getting engaged, these lovebirds waited almost 3 years to have their wedding! But yesterday finally arrived, tropical storm rain showers and all. We always make sure our couples get beautiful outdoor photos without getting caught in the rain, though! And honestly, those cloudy skies did not put a damper on the love & warmth of Josh & Sierra’s day. So many special moments including first looks with the father of the bride and mother of the groom, Josh’s first holy communion during the ceremony, Sierra giving a heartwarming welcome toast to all of the guests, and choreographed parent dances with the couple!

WEDDING - Kurt + Kristen - Lockwood Farms, Brookville PA

After 17 years of shooting weddings, we have seen a lot of ceremonies & receptions with your basic flow of events. But yesterday at Kurt + Kristen’s wedding, we got to see so many meaningful & fun firsts! The first time we’ve had groomsmen huddle with the groom to make a team decision on whether he should say “I Do” or not (see the sign pictured below for their answer!) Bubble guns for thousands of bubbles as the happy couple walked up the aisle. A special time during the ceremony for both sets of parents to pray over the rings. A round robin speed round during the reception, where all the guests got to run through the line to take their photo with the couple. AND SO MUCH MORE!

WEDDING - Darrin + Brittany - Cameron County Fairgrounds, Emporium PA

August weddings are always HOT, and yesterday’s wedding was no exception! But the fun, love, and laughter from Darrin & Brittany’s bridal party made the day feel like a breeze. They are such a fun-loving couple and a true joy to be around…Sam & I loved spending the day with you two and getting to take care of you for the big day!

WEDDING - Albeno + Alicia - Historic Summit Inn, Farmington PA

I mean, come on with this dress!!! Actually everything, the u-shaped necklace, the phoenix tattoo across the back, and the “Viking” hair, as the bride called it…Alicia crushed her wedding day look! And Albeno was looking pretty snazzy himself in his emerald velvet tux and matching chucks. It was all a perfect match to their vintage venue: The Historic Summit Inn.

WEDDING - Alex + Danielle - Chestnut Ridge Resort, Blairsville PA

Our first wedding of the 2023 Season had a gorgeous day with a gorgeous bride…well make that “couple”, as Alex was looking pretty spiffy in his suit too. Danielle was simply stunning and all kinds of sparkly in her dress, and the glittery reception decor was a perfect match…a true fairytale wedding with a princess & her prince!!

WEDDING - Tyler + Johanna - Copper Cork Event Center, Clearfield, PA

Today, Tyler & Johanna celebrate their 1st wedding anniversary! This weekend, last year, they had a beautifully intimate ceremony with their closest family & friends. And yesterday, they celebrated a year of marriage with their official wedding reception! It was so special to relive & remember so many moments from Part 1 last year, including a reception replay of the highlight video we created for them last year! This year, there were unique touches, like Tyler helping Johanna get dressed this time around and the bridal party finally getting the chance to toast Tyler & Johanna’s marriage! But really, yesterday was all about having FUN at the reception, packing the dance floor and Photo Station all…night…long!!! Such a fun way to celebrate your 1st Anniversary!
